Why I Am Running for Common Council
I am dedicated to ensuring Utica a great place to live, work, and raise a family. In fact, I’m getting involved in local politics because of my five-year-old son. I want him to have a wonderful childhood and not just him — all children in Utica deserve a fun, happy, and safe childhood. The resources for children and families in Utica are lacking. It’s important we set up our children for success at a young age. When we support families, we strengthen our community.
As a new face to Utica’s political scene, I will bring a fresh perspective and solutions-oriented approach to the Common Council. I believe local government works best when officials are focused on city services and resident needs. As a marketing and communications professional, I have the talent and expertise to foster discussion, generate outreach, and create real, equitable solutions.
I have worked hard all of my life and I will work hard for everyone in Utica, including those with roots that run 10 generations deep to people who are new to the area. I may not know what Utica was like 30 years ago, but I know what it’s like today. It would be an honor to serve the residents of Utica as their representative in Common Council.
